Outside the grounds of the BUGA horticultural show, the lights are deliberately assembled at a uniform height but inside the height of the beam spots follows the ascent and descent of the ground. As a result, the light is sometimes restricted to just a few intimate metres yet at other points lavishly spreads across a wide area.
